Q:

is there a recal on this model? 917280010 Craftsman Riding mower

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern with your rear engine Craftsman riding mower.

You not indicate what the problem is with your rear engine riding mower.

There is no "recall" but if the transmission has failed and the failure was not caused any other part failure, then you will need to call Sears and schedule a service appointment to have a service technician diagnose and confirm the transmission failure.

Visually inspect the rinding mower for anything that is not normal. Check the belt, brake cable, wiring and shift
linkage. If everything looks normal, and the transmission has failed, the service technician will make a phone call and document the failue. Once the failure has been diagnosed and confirmed by the service technician and the technician has diagnoses a transmission fialure, a refund or a comparable replacement riding mower would be initiated. You would receive a call within 48 hours from our call center (CCN) to process a comparable replacement or a refund.

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I recommend having one of our service technicians come out and service the mower. The service technician will be able to determine if it is something that needs to be adjusted or if a part is broke. The mover has a two year warranty and should be repaired at no charge. Please call 1-800-469-4663 to schedule service.
