Thank you for your question.
I will be happy to assist you with connecting the fuel line. The molded line is the line between the carburetor and the fuel pump. The other line is the line between the fuel filter and the pump. I posted an image below that has these lines marked. Click on the image to enlarge it
I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

wont start 917276220 Craftsman Garden tractor

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. I recommend checking the fuel flow to the carburetor first. To do that, just remove the fuel line going to carburetor. Place the fuel line into an approved container and monitor the fuel flow. If you have a good flow of fuel, go ahead and reattach it to the carburetor. If you still do not have fuel getting to the spark plug I recommend checking the fuel solenoid. The fuel solenoid has a pin that should pull down when 12 volts dc is applied to it. When you turn the key on you should be able to feel the click of the solenoid. If you have a volt ohmmeter make sure, the solenoid is getting 12 volts dc. You can also remove the solenoid and connect the wire to the positive of the battery and the body of the solenoid to the negative. This should activate the solenoid. If the pin does not retract, I recommend replacing the solenoid. If the solenoid is working and you do not get fuel to the spark plug, I recommend cleaning the main jet in the carburetor. The jet is brass and has a small hole that fuel flows to the engine. If it is plugged the engine will not get the fuel needed to run. The main jet can be cleaned with a thin wire and carburetor cleaner. Once it is cleaned, reassemble the carburetor and check the operation. Be sure to work in a well ventilated area free of open flames.
