Thank you for your question.

I think you are referring to the blade brakes. I have provided you with an image below showing the blade brakes. The key number is 190 and if this is the correct part, the part number is 192558. The brake can be ordered from us at our parts website Sears Parts Direct .

Please let me know if the customer says the part is not correct.

Q:

deck questions 917275350 Craftsman Tractor

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I looked up the model number submitted. You can install a 42 inch deck on this tractor. The part number for the complete mower deck is 169583 and can be ordered from the following link. Replacement mower deck for a Craftsman tractor model 917276390.

I would let the customer know that the cost of the deck is almost half of what a new tractor cost. The customer may be able to sell the tractor and take the money from the tractor along with the money he would have spent on a new deck and use to purchase a new tractor. The new tractor will come with a two year warranty.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

bagger problem with riding lawn mower

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the bagger. I have checked the tractor model number. I show bagger 24890 is the correct bagger. I know it can be difficult to install the lower chute. When the chute sits in the box, it can be slightly deformed. If you can find a part number on the chute, it should be 192574. If the number is different, I recommend ordering the correct chute. I hope this helpful.

If you are sure the plastic is deformed, you can try to use a heat gun to warm the plastic until it is pliable. I am not sure if a hair dryer will get hot enough but you can try it. Once it is warmed, try to fit the chute onto the deck. Once you have it on the deck leave, it for a few weeks this should reform it to the correct shape. If you have to order a new chute, the part number is 192574 and cost about $54.00.
