Q:

I have a 917.251480 lawn tractor. I replaced the seat switch and PTO switch, the clutch to engage the blades still doesn't get 12Volts? What else can i check. D

A:

The wiring diagram for your tractor is shown in the image below. The red wire from the ignition switch (contact L) should supply 12 volts DC to the B contact of the PTO switch. When the PTO switch is engaged the contact B to E should be closed and the red wire between the PTO switch and the clutch should supply the clutch with the 12 volts DC. I recommend that you check the wiring in this circuit thoroughly. If you do not have the 12 volts DC coming out of the ignition switch with it in the ON position then you could have a bad ignition switch. This information may help you determine the cause of your clutch problem.
