Q:

Bake control valve Voltage

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The oven safety valve opens/operates by current/amperage draw and not voltage. Do not apply voltage directly across the oven safety valve or it will damage the valve. I added an image below with the theory of operation.

If the oven igniter does not pull enough current/amperage, the oven gas valve will not open.

Q:

craftsman 9" drill press ....

A:

To make the instructions more simple go to www.searspartsdirect.com to pull up a parts diagram or use the one in the owners manual.

Lower the chuck to the lowest position and use a plastic hammer, hard rubber hammer, or a regular hammer and a piece of wood to drive the chuck off the quill shaft. The chuck should drive off fairly easily.

Remove item 36 by removing items 19A and 20. Remove items 15 and 16, 17 and 18, and items 6, 7, and 8. Remove item 21, and item 56 also.

Remove the belt from the pulley then remove the nut that holds the pulley and remove the pulley.

You should be able to remove the quill now. You might need to clamp a pair of vice grips on the shaft and tap down on it to remove the quill and shaft.

Q:

Parts for 9" Disk Sander

A:

Thank you for your question.

I have pulled up the model you have submitted. The disk is aluminum. I have searched for the arbor size but it is not listed. I will try to find the shaft on Monday when the manufacture is open. If you need to know the shaft size quicker, you can remove disk and measuring the shaft.

Please let me know if you come up with the shaft size before I do.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

I heard back from the manufacture and the shaft diameter is .580. It is actually a metric shaft and is 14.68 mm. Please let me know if you need further assistance on the sander.
