Question and Answers

Q:

What does the F2 error code indicate on my Kenmore range model 91195575891?

A:

These symptoms do point to a failure of the electronic oven control board. The F2 indicates an over temperature condition. This is probably caused by the broil element coming on and staying on constantly. The oven control board controls the contacts that energize the elements. Only one element will be energized at a time. Your details indicate that the contact for the boil element on the control board is sticking closed and this is causing the broil element to heat constantly. I recommend replacing the electronic oven control board. This should correct your problem.

Q:

replacing clock /oven control 91195575891 Kenmore Range

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. Based on you details, you will need to connect both Black wires (black wire labled #3 and black wire labled #6) to the L1 terminal on the new control board. You may have to get a piggy back spade connector in order to reconnect the two black wires to the L1 terminal if it there is only one terminal for the L1 input voltage. If you do not feel confident in properly installing this new control board, I recommend calling a service technician to install the new control board.
