Q:

Specs fo Kenmore 9114942990 Oven Micro Combo

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to have the specs for the wall and microwave combo.

I am sorry that I do not have that information for this product.

This unit is quite old and all I can find is the installation instructions which will have the information but I cannot see it electronically.

I do have a part number for the instructions which is:031-10117 and you can order it from;Sears Parts Direct .

This will give you all the measurements and voltage requirements.

The voltage requirements on the electric single wall oven with a microwave attached would be 240 volts at 40 amps. But I do not have the physical size for installation.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for the update. I am sorry but I still cannot find and dimensions for this 27 inch wall oven and upper microwave. I can find a service mini manual and an owner's manual not dimension on the size. I have looked in a lot of locations but apparently not in the right place. Sam A.

Q:

Replace Kenmoore Over the Range Microwave Model 9114942990

A:

Hello Fawn. I see that you want to replace the microwave in this wall oven/microwave combo. Jonathon is correct about the replacement microwave not being available due to the age of the appliance. I am not aware of any current microwave counter unit models that will safely fit in that space. I recommend that you consider replacing the oven/ microwave combo in this situation.

If you need more help, let us know.

Q:

How do I change a broil element in a Kenmore built-in microwave/oven unit model 9114942990?

A:

To replace the broil element in your oven disconnect the power to the oven. Remove all racks from the oven and set the latches on the hinges and lift the oven door off the hinges. Place the door in a safe place while you work so the door glass doesn't get damaged.

Remove the 2 screws that mount the broil element to the rear wall of the oven and slowly pull the element into the oven. Sometimes the ends of the element catch on some wiring and you might need to move the element around as you pull it inside the oven.

The wires of the oven have spade terminals attached to the end of them and the spade terminals plug onto the terminals of the element.

Grasp the terminals with a pair of pliers and pull them off the oven terminals. Don't pull on the wires or you might pull the wire out of the terminals.

Reverse these instructions to install the new broil element.
