Question and Answers

Q:

Need instructions to replace control board #w489454 for Kenmore 30 inch double oven #91147822100.

A:

Shut off the house circuit breaker for the range before accessing internal components.

The parts diagram for the control portion of your oven is shown in the image below. According to this diagram, it appears that you will need to open the oven door and remove the screws (Key 875) that secure the console to the vent trim piece. Once you remove these screws, you should be able fold the console forward by lifting it up slightly and pulling it forward. The wires will still be attached to the control board so you will not be able to pull it completely off. Document the location of the wires connected to the control board (take a digital picture if necessary). The wires will need to be connected properly to the new control board. Remove the wires from the original control board. Remove the screws (Key 847) that secure the control board to the console. Replace the control board and reassemble the console in reverse order.

This information should help you replace the control board in this oven. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

Q:

error code F0 what is it?

A:

That second link for a previous answer that Pvalde2 posted in the above response provides some troubleshooting and repair information for this type of failure. You can shut off the house circuit breakers or remove the house fuses for the oven to completely disconnect electrical power and access the control board in that console. You should be able to open the oven console by removing the screws at the very bottom of the control panel. With those screws removed, you should then be able to release that control panel and carefully fold it forward to access the control board that is mounted to the back of that panel. Unplug the ribbon wire connector from that control board and then reassemble the console and power the oven back up. If the F0 code does not reappear, then the control panel will need to be replaced. If the F0 code does appear with that control panel unplugged then you will need to replace the control board (part WB27T10295). You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website. The control panel comes in several colors. You can view the parts list on that website and order the correct control panel for your oven. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breakers or remove the house fuses for the oven to completely disconnect electrical power before accessing and replacing internal components.

This information should help you fix this oven failure. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
