Question and Answers

electric built-in oven w/microwave

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your Microwave. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. I strongly suggest that you have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. I have provided a link To Sears Home Services if you decide to schedule service.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The voltage should measure between 220 and 230 volts when measuring across the two wires of each oven element. If you do not measure 220-230 volts across the two wires connected to the bake and broil elements and the range is getting the 220-230 volts, the electronic oven control part #WB27T10462 is faulty.

I added an image below of the oven circuit. I traced the bake and broil circuits.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
