Question and Answers

Q:

I have a downdraft range model # 911-4698814. Keep getting F-3 erroe code. have tried a new clock control and replaced the temperature probe. What else causi

A:

That sensor circuit has high limit thermostat that could be causing your F3 error code. I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the range and check the resistance through that oven temperature sensor circuit using a volt/ohm meter. If you measure Ol (Open Load or infinite resistance) then it is likely that the high limit thermostat in that circuit is "open" and will need to be replaced. You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.
