Question and Answers

Q:

Range Kenmore model 9114654591, flame to high can't regulate

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to hear that you are having some difficulties with your Kenmore Electric Range. Usually when the burner will not cycle on and off it is because of a defective switch. It also could be cause by a shorted wire. To determine where the problem is you will need to unplug the range from the wall and look for burn wires. If you do not see any burnt wires, I recommend replacing the surface burner switch. The reason is I suspect the contacts in the switch are fused together. The part can be ordered from our parts website: Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for using Manage my life.
