The link that Joseph P. provided in the above response should help you with this repair. It is extremely important that you shut off the house circuit breaker (or pull the house fuses) for the oven to disconnect electrical power before beginning this procedure. One side of the element will be constantly connected to 120 volt AC power.

Here are some additional tips:

You can remove the oven door if necessary to gain better access to the element. You should find a screw that mounts the element to the back wall of the oven cavity. Remove that screw and carefully pull the element into the oven until you have access to the wire connections on the back of the element. Remove the wires but do not let them shrink back through the opening in the back of the oven. Remove the old element and connect the wires to the new element. Reassemble and test the oven.
