Question and Answers

Q:

how can I repair kenmore oven that keeps flashing f2 and f3 and beeping?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F3" fault code indicates a problem with the oven temperature sensor probe or the oven temperature sensor probe circuit. The sensor could be faulty or it could have a loose or bad connection in the circuit.

The "F2" fault code is likely displaying for the same reasons. I added a YouTube video showing how to test the oven temperature sensor. If the sensor fails the test, replace the sensor. If the sensor tests Okay, check the sensor circuit where it connects at the oven control board. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the oven before checking the connections at the oven control board.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

KENMORE ELECTRIC WALL OVEN MODEL #9114018813 BAKE SETTING

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If your wall oven does not produce any heat when set to Bake or Broil and the oven control acts the same when selecting broil; I would have to assume the electronic oven control is faulty.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

A:

Anonymous; The oven control will cost approximately $150.00 and the service fee which includes the labor is approximately $130.00. The technician will have to remove the control and send it off for rebuild because there is no new control boards available.

A:

Michael: Yes, the cost of the control board is included in the cost of having the control board rebuilt. I could not say for sure how long but it would likely take at least 7-10 working days before it was shipped back and then it may take a few more days before the tech can come out and install it.

Q:

problem with a kenmore wall oven

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F4" fault code indicates a shorted oven temperature sensor or a shorted oven temperature sensor circuit between the sensor and the oven control board.

I would start by removing and disconnecting the oven sensor. The oven sensor is located inside the oven cavity in rear upper left or right side.

It can be removed and tested for the proper resistance with an Ohm meter. The resistance of the oven temperature sensor should measure 1100 Ohms at room temperature. NOTE: I was going to provide the part number of the oven sensor but the oven sensor is no longer available according to our source.

I added a link to Sears.com if you would like to look at some new wall ovens.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
