kenmore range 911 45565893

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The fault code "F1" implies a stuck key or the relay on the electronic oven control is turned on, meaning the electronic oven control is faulty.

I added the fault code chart in the image below.

Q:

Oven model 911 4742992

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It is important that both heating elements are functional. The broil (upper oven element) alternates operation (25% of the time) with the bake element during the bake cycle. The bake element will be on only during the pre-heat cycle. If both oven elements are alternating operation during the bake cycle and it will not reach the set temperature, it could have a faulty oven temperature sensor or electronic oven control. The oven temperature sensor is located inside the oven cavity. It can be removed and disconnected and tested for proper resistance with an Ohm meter. The oven temperature sensor should have a resistance measurement of approximately 1100 Ohms.

I added a YouTube video showing how to test the oven temperature sensor for resistance using an Ohm meter.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
