reciprocating saw model 900271221

Thank you for your question on the blade clamp attached to the blade drive shaft.

The blade clamp has set screws on the clamp for removing the blade.

If you cannot get the blade clamp to release the blade then you will need a small drift pin punch to remove the pins from the drive shaft.

I am not sure why you cannot not remove those pins out but if you remove the nose shoe it should be easier. It sounds like the pin may have worked its way out.

If you have a Black and Decker repair station in the area they may be able to help you since this saw was made by Black and Decker for Craftsman.

Please let me know a little more detail and perhaps a picture so I can better see the situation on the bar clamp.

Thank you for the update on driving out the drift pins on the saw bar. In looking at the picture of the drift pin you should be able to drive it either way because the retainer grooves are in the middle of the pins. You may have to improvise a support to hold the saw bar so you can more easily drive out the pins. I am sorry for the tight quarters to work with. The repair stations have special tools to work on these power tools. Sam A.
