Question and Answers

Q:

Weider Pro 8900 pulley position

A:

Hello William. I am sorry to hear about the problems that you are having with that Weider Pro 8900 Gym.

I posted the cable diagram that you are probably looking at in the first image below. The second image shows the pulleys that you seem to be referring to in your details. I assume that you have the pulleys installed properly as shown in that second image and that the cable is routed correctly through those pulleys. There is a chance that the problem could be caused by the routing of the cable through pulleys 7 through 11. I recommend that you check that routing to make sure that it is correct. If you check those issues and find no problems, then I recommend that you call Weider at 1-877-992-5999. A representative from Weider may be able to help you resolve that cable problem. Talking directly to the manufacturer about the problem is probably the best approach in this situation.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

Q:

Short burn cable on Weider Pro 8900

A:

Thank you for your question on the assembly of this weight system.

I am sorry that you are having a problem with the assembly on step 44.

There are a lot of pieces to put together on this machine and it is easy to get one of the pieces put together incorrectly.

I would suggest checking all the instructions from the start to make sure you have all the hardware together correctly.

I have looked for any issues with this model and none pop up as having a problem with the cables being too short.

I believe that this cable goes through the double pulley frame with one cable going up one direction and the other cable going down. Those two pulleys have different adjustment hole positions on the two side plates. I would suggest seeing if you put the bottom pulley in the bottom hole on the plate and the top pulley in the top hole in the plate to see if that will help and then when you get it all together you may have to readjust those locations.

I do not know if this information will help but please check and see if you can find the problem.

Sam A.

Q:

I have the Weider 8900 Home Gym and i am having trouble with the cables. Is there a video for it? I cannot understand which pulleys the cables go thru

A:

I did not find a video for that Weider home gym. I posted a picture in the image below that shows the routing for the cables on that system. That image is a page from the owner's manual. Here is a link for the full owner's manual on that system: Weider 8900 Home Gym Owner's Manual . You may be able to route cables by following the information in that manual. If you need more help, let us know and we will try to assist you further.
