Craftsman oil-free air compressor, #919167200/5HP: I can't wait to use my Christmas present which a Crafstman tool pack for my air compressor tool box #91682

Congratulations on your new tool what an awesome present. While you are waiting on your response from the experts, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Parts Direct website to speak with a Sears associate. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

The manual is recommending that you have an in-line lubricator to use with the tool. That's just their recommendation. I have used the same impact wrench and ratchet for well over 10 years and do not use an inline lubricator, separator, or filter and these tools are being used in humid Louisiana. Something I do to help my air tools last is to drop about 4-6 drops of air tool oil down the air input nozzle each time I use them. The oil will help displace moisture that builds up and it will also keep the rubber seals and gaskets from drying out.

I do recommend that you drain the air tank when you're done each time to prevent water from collecting in the bottom (it gets pulled from the air). I certainly won't tell you to not use an in-line lubricator or filter but I have always found it be unnecessary for typical use situations for folks around the house tinkering.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!
