Q:

I have a Kenmore stove. Model # 911.46565893 Serial# 87270791Q. Had power surge-computer panel says: 888 88 88. Oven won't work. TurnedPower off/on. Still 888 8

A:

When the oven control displays all 8's the electronic board in the control is bad. You will have to replace the electronic control.

The part number for the oven control is WB27K5304. This control is no longer available for ordering. Call Sears Parts Direct at 1-800-250-1698 and they can direct you to get the control rebuilt.

Someone will need to remove the control from the range and send it in to be rebuilt.

Q:

Hi, I own a Proform xp 615 treadmill, model 831024745.1. I would like to know what the code numbers on the console mean. Can you help?

A:

The console on your treadmill does not have error codes according to our information. The 888's are the configuration of the display on the console. If the console displays 888 it is confused and doesn't know which command to execute.

This console doesn't display the standard error codes. I am sending you some images of the meaning of the standard error codes. Please don't let me confuse you here.

Q:

I have a Sears Lifestyler treadmill. The console displays error 888:8.8, then PO. What is the possible problem?

A:

The console has failed. This console should not display these error codes. When it does it is because the electronic board inside the console has failed.

The console is not available for ordering. Sears has established a rebuilding procedure where you remove the console from the treadmill and send it in for rebuilding. If you choose to do this, take pictures of the wire connections for assembly after rebuilding.

Call Sears Parts Direct at 1-800-252-1698 for instructions and the price of a rebuilt console.

I think it is time to shop for a replacement treadmill.
