Question and Answers

Q:

Can you help with troubleshooting my Lifestyler 8 treadmill?

A:

The error code EEEE indicates the console is not receiving information from the speed sensor.

The speed sensor can be a reed switch next to the front roller or a photo switch and disc attached to the rear of the motor.

If the speed disc has rubbed on the photo switch, the photo switch needs to be replaced. If the reed switch is out of position, the magnet in the front roller won't cause it to open and close.

One of these should solve the problem.

Q:

8 GMP PUMP DOES NOT WORK

A:

Thank you for you question.

I can understand wanting to have the sprayer working for you.

There need to be a spring on the brush for the motor or there will not contact for the motor to run.

The parts illustration does not show a breakdown of the motor so I would go to a local electrical motor shop in your area with the brush and see if you can get a match.

Grainger brushes .

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

3/8" electric drill

A:

Thank you for your question on the loose screw in the base of the chuck.

The only reason for the screw is to hold the chuck on the drill when you use the reverse rotation.

Does the screw look like it was broken on the threads end or has it been loose so long that the threads are stripped on the inside of the chuck armature shaft?

Here is the screw that I have linked you to, and it looks like it is a substitute and so I would suggest try it see if it will work.

Sears Parts Direct drill chuck screw .

If you think the screw is too small, then I would suggest looking for the different screw locally.

Please let me know what you discover.

Sam A.
