Can you send me installation instructions for the replacement drive belt and walking belt for a 831297541 treadmill?

The instructions for replacing the belt on a treadmill have never been printed. There are so many models with different variations it would be very difficult to do. Technicians are taught the basics at training sessions and are expected to adapt to the model they are working on.

Basically you disconnect the power to the treadmill and remove the motor hood. Remove the drive belt from the motor and front roller.

Remove the side rails and the rear end caps. Remove the walking board.

Remove the adjusting bolts for the rear roller and remove both front and rear rollers.

Slide the walking belt off the right side of the rollers.

Reverse these instructions for installation of new belt.

Tighten the new belt until it will barely slip if you stop on it while walking.

The drive belt is removed by loosening the bolt and nut on the right side of the motor that keeps tension on the belt. The motor will pivot on the pin and loosen the belt. Run the belt off the motor pulley then off the pulley on the front roller. Remove the belt.

When you install the new belt tighten it until you can only twist the belt 1/4 turn with your fingers.

Is there a substitute part for the pulse monitor part number 121078 that is no longer available for treadmill model 831297541?

I researched the pulse monitor part 121078. I do not find a substitute for this part that is no longer available. You may try using a separate pulse monitor that is not connected to the treadmill.
