Q:

I just bought a Kenmore elite toaster model No. 100.90003. The cord is about 6 inches too short. What type of extension cord should I buy? i.e. amps/volts.

A:

You can use an extension cord for the toaster if the cord has 2 wires and three prong outlet and receptacle. The cord should have number 14 wire to carry the load of the toaster. Number 14 wire will carry 15 amps.

Q:

what type of caurb unit does this model take

A:

The carburetor on your Tecumseh engine is a basic design made by Tecumseh which has been in service for years. You did not indicate what type of problems or symptoms you are having with the carburetor. Generally speaking the most common failure with the carburetor is that it can become dirty and cause restrictions in the main nozzle tube, the float can stick or the inlet needle and seat can wear and cause flooding of the carburetor. The weak spark at times is not a common symptom. Based on how it develops spark the problem is likely with the solid state ignition coil or spark plug.

Q:

Why won't my Kenmore oven model 66575842001 start between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 6:00a.m.?

A:

Check your oven controls to make sure that you do not have a delay start and cook time set. Press the DELAY START button and then the CANCEL/OFF button to cancel a delay start time setting. Press the COOK TIME button and then the CANCEL/OFF button to cancel a cook time setting. This may allow the control to operate properly.

If you do not have these programs set, try resetting the clock to a time between 6:00p.m. and 6:00a.m. during the day when the oven is normally working. If the oven works during this time, then an external problem is apparently affecting the operation of the range. You did not indicate whether the cook top burners will work between 6p.m. and 6a.m. A gas supply problem could prevent the range from working between these hours.

If the above tips do not help, resubmit your question with additional details.
