Question and Answers

Q:

sinkmaster 801 blade is not turning

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The two cutting blades on the rotating disc are supposed to be loose so that they can pivot. The disc the two cutting blades are mounted to should rotate freely. If the disc is jammed, the overload switch (if it has one) will trip open and prevent the disposal from operating. The disposal came with a little wrench to be used if the disposal becomes jammed. You would place the wrench up in the bottom center area of the disposal and rotate the wrench. Rotate the wrench to unjam the disposal. If it rotates freely, the disposal is not jammed and it is not likely starting because the overload is tripped or the disposal is not getting the proper voltage. If it turns freely, look at the bottom of the disposal for a red reset button. Push the reset button and then see if the disposal will run. If it does not have a reset button and it's getting the proper voltage, I would replace the disposal.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Your washer should display another letter or digit after the letter F. I added an image below of all the fault codes to reference.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
