Question and Answers

Kenmore Elite Dead in the Water...

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The first thing that must be checked and confirmed is the voltage supply. The voltage supply must be measured at the back of the range where the power cord attaches. NOTE: I do not recommend making any voltage measurements unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair your range.  There are three terminals on the terminal block. The voltage must measure 220-240 volts when measuring across the two outer terminals. The voltage must also measure 110-120 across the center terminal to each outer terminal. If the voltages are correct, then I highly recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair this specific model range.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link:Sears Home Services.
