Kenmore oven is not heating up

Troubleshooting the reason why an oven stops heating does often lead to the element. I located two similar questions, one with a troubleshooting video that may help while you wait for the expert. I attached the links below along with the parts diagrams for this model at Sears Parts Direct. It may help locate parts locations in the oven.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The Bake element is hidden under the oven floor. The oven floor will likely have two screws located at the rear of the oven floor. Disconnect the range from the power supply before removing the oven floor.

If neither upper (broil) and lower (bake) elements will heat, the most likely failure is the electronic oven control board. You can test the bake and broil elements by removing the element, disconnecting the wires and testing the element for continuity using an Ohm meter.

If the bake and broil elements measure continuity, I would suspect a faulty electronic oven control/clock.

I added a YouTube video showing how to test the bake and broil element for continuity. Parts can be looked up and ordered from Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
