Question and Answers

Why won't the warmer zone and right rear element heat up on my Kenmore range model 790.9621340B?

I provided a wiring diagram with the circuits traced in the previous answer to show the potential failures that would cause these burner issues. The image below shows some access information for the burner switches in the console and the elements. If you are able to unplug the range and access these components, you may be able to check the wiring. Without performing the live voltage checks, it is difficult to pin point the failure. Unless you find a wiring failure, you would need to likely replace the burner switches and the elements to fix this problem. You could try replacing the switches first and then the element. The switch and the element cost about the same on the regular burner (about $45). The switch for the warmer element is less expensive (about $16). If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
