Question and Answers

Q:

How do I replace and install part # 5303935086 in my kenmore range.

A:

The spade locations on the new switch may be in a different location but you should see the same labels that you saw on the original switch. The same color of wires need to be attached to the same designated spades even though they may be in a different location on the new switch. I provided a wiring diagram in the image below that shows the wire colors and location if you already removed the wired from the old switch. Be sure that you have the range unplugged when accessing this switch.

There is an alternate switch wiring diagram shown in the bottom left corner of the diagram. That information may help you properly wire the new switch.

The new switch must be wired correctly before you plug the range back in. If you are not sure how to wire this switch, I recommend that you have a service technician connect the wires. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details (labels on the new switch and which burner switch you are replacing (right front or left front). You can also send us a digital picture and we may be able to help you further with the wiring.
