When you turn the broiler on you should see the ignitor glow bright red. The oven safety valve should open within 40 seconds and the burner will light. The bake burner goes through this same process. You should be able to the the glow of the ignitor through the slits in the oven bottom. Don't put your head into the oven cavity, you can see the glow from outside the door opening.

If the bake ignitor is not glowing, you could have a problem with the bake ignitor, the electronic oven control, or the oven safety valve.

To test the ignitor someone will need to test the voltage to the bake ignitor. If you have 120 volts ac to the bake ignitor and it is not glowing, replace the ignitor.

If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.

If you are not comfortable doing these tests, you can go to Home Services and get a Sears technician to repair the range.
