Q:

I have a gas burner not igniting. WHY?

A:

I understand your disappointment with this brand new range that has a burner that won't light properly. The only troubleshooting that I recommend is shown in the image below. Make sure that the burner cap is positioned properly on that right front power burner. I suspect that you may have already checked that issue.

If the burner does not ignite properly even with that burner cap properly positioned, then I recommend that you have the range serviced by a technician under the warranty. You can schedule warranty service by calling Sears at 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Hopefully the service will be scheduled before Thanksgiving. If the issue is not fixed before Thanksgiving, then you still should be able to use the burner by igniting it with a lighter. I know that this is still a disappointment but I hope that the advice helps. I apologize for the problems that you are having with this brand new range.
