Question and Answers

Q:

Is a 30 amp breaker suffieient for a kenmore 48133 double oven (79048133800)?

A:

Thank you for your question.

Having the correct amp load circuit is critical and it is good that you ask before installing.

  • The Double Oven range requires a minimum of a 40 amp circuit. So because you said you had a 30 amp, I would suggest you update this circuit to 40 amps. to meet required electrical code.

As long as the plug will not interfere with the installation it does not have to be removed.

I have given an excerpt of the specs for this oven below.

I hope this will help.

I am sorry but the wiring code requires a heavier wire. It's not that it wouldn't work but if you were using both ovens, say at holiday times you may over amp the 10 gauge wire and cause a problem. It really calls for an 8 gauge wire. I am sorry but I would rather be safe than sorry. It's up to you. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Help installing new hinge on oven door

A:

Thank you for your question on the door hinge replacement for the wall oven.

The door hinge is in the closed position when you receive it.

You will need to install the hinge in the door and then need to force the hinge open and lock the hinge before installing back onto the range.

BE CAREFULL NOT TO HURT YOURSELF WHEN DOING THIS.

It will take some force to get this done.
