Question and Answers

Q:

Radiant Stove burner replacement

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I added an image below with the procedure of removing the burner box assembly. NOTE: Disconnect the range from the power supply before servicing.

Remove the screws and wiring from the burner needing replaced and make diagram of the where the wires are attached before disconnecting the wires from the burner.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

sears kenmore range

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F1" fault code will display due to one of the following conditions:

  1. Shorted keypad.
  2. The oven control board/clock assembly internal checksum may have become corrupted.
  3. The oven control/clock assembly has sensed a potential runaway oven condition. Control may have a shorted relay, or the oven temperature sensor probe may have gone bad.
If the "F1" fault code reappears after turning the power source off and back on after a few minutes, the electronic oven control/clock assembly will need to be replaced. If the "F1" does not come back on until you turn the oven, then it could have a faulty oven temperature sensor probe. The oven temperature sensor probe is located inside the oven in the upper right rear corner or upper left rear corner. The sensor can likely be removed from inside the oven cavity and tested with an Ohm meter for resistance. At room temperature, the oven temperature sensor should measure approximately 1100 Ohms. If the oven sensor measure approximately 1100 Ohms, the electronic oven control/clock assembly will need to be replaced.

The clock/oven control is about $231.00 and the oven temperature sensor is about $30.00.

I added an image below with the procedure of accessing the electronic oven controll and the oven temperature sensor. NOTE: Disconnect the range from the power source before servicing.
