Q:

on a model 7800 gas dryer with drop down door. we removed the filter and it looks like a flat spring in side moved and now we can not replace the filter.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The lower access panel is held in position with a couple of spring clips located above the panel. Use a screw driver to push in and release the spring clips. I added an image below with the procedure of removing the access panel and the lint duct. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

How do I cancel/chage the cycle after it has started without turning the power off and back on again. I have a Kenmore dryer 7800.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. The cycles can not be changed once the dryer has been started or when paused. In order to change the cycle, you will have to press Power to shut off the dryer and then reselect the cycle.

Q:

Dishwasher Not Draining

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There could one of many places where water could be restricted from draining properly. It could have a restriction where the drain hose is attached under the sink or at the check valve at the exit end of the drain pump or possibly down in the sump area.

I suggest checking for a restriction at the end of the drain hose where it connects under the sink and inside the fitting on the disposal or drain pipe. If there are no restrictions then you will need to remove the dishwasher in order to access the drain pump. It appears the inlet cover will snap off if you don't see any screws securing it down. I added an image below with information and instructions. If you don't find a restriction at the end of the drain hose and you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
