Q:

blower motor gmp100-3 rev b

A:

Hello Walter. I looked up that part on the factory website. It shows that you model needs motor B1340021S. That appears to be a different motor from the B1340021 that is listed on our Sears PartsDirect website. That will likely fix your wiring problem. I apologize for the problem with that motor.

You asked for the error codes and the wiring diagram. I posted those images below.  If you are viewing this answer on the Sears PartsDirect website then you may need to visit this page on the Manage My Life website to view the images: blower motor gmp100-3 rev b

Q:

Why does my Craftsman 2 cycle snow blower over rev after 5-10 minutes use? How do I fix it?

A:

The governor is probably sticking, causing the engine to over rev.

The governor on your engine is an aluminum butterfly mounted near the carburetor. The air from the flywheel blows the governor causing it to open or close the throttle on the carburetor.

The governor and throttle linkage probably needs to be sprayed with some carburetor cleaner to clean and lubricate it.

Be careful to not change the adjustment of the governor. If it is set too high, it will cause external damage to the engine.

I recommend spraying the springs and linkage with carburetor cleaner. Start the engine and if it still over revs, get a technician to repair the engine.
