Question and Answers

Q:

I started my GE self clean oven at 10:00 and electric went off for just a second and came back on and it ran for 10 hrs and won't go off. GE oven

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The electronic oven control will display "F3" fault code when the oven temperature over heats or if the oven temperature sensor Ohm resistance exceeds 2900 Ohms. If leave the power supply off to the range and then re-connect the power and the oven begins to heat, the electronic oven control was likely damaged due to the electrical storm. Since I do not have model number I will not be able identify what type of door locking mechanism it may have or how you would access it. If you have the Owner's manual of the range, it should have one or more model numbers listed on it that would be helpful.

The range/oven will most likely need a new electronic oven control/clock assembly.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post along with the model number on the cover page of the Owner's manual.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.

Q:

Why does the temperature control rise to 72 degrees in the timer mode on my window air conditioner?

A:

I referred to the technical information for this window air conditioner. It does not give me specific information on the operation of the temperature display or the timer mode.

I am not able to determine whether the temperature setting or the actual temperature is being displayed. If the actual temperature is being displayed, then your air conditioner could be operating normally. Even at a setting of 69 degrees, it would not be unusual for an actual temperature of 72 degrees to be measured by the air conditioner temperature probe. A few degrees above the setting would be normal.

If only the temperature setting is being displayed, then you could be experiencing a power failure to the air conditioner that is resetting the temperature to 72 degrees. The temperature resets to 72 degrees when the unit is initially turned on. The timer setting is not normally reset when a power failure is experienced. This could explain the reason for the temperature changing to 72 degrees in the timed mode.

You could have a control board issue that is causing this problem. I do not have enough specific information on this unit to give you an exact answer.

If you suspect that the air conditioner is not operating properly, I recommend getting it checked by a service technician.

Q:

Can you help find accessories for Sportscraft 72 inch 4-1 swivel game table?

A:

The triangle still appears to be available as a replacement part. It is part number 9-3-32-899SS12. You can order that part from this page: Triangle Part 9-3-32-899SS12 for Sportcraft Multi-Game Table.

The billiard balls do not appear to be available through the Sears PartsDirect source or any other parts source that I checked. You may be able to find billiard balls at a local game supply store.

There are some other parts and accessories listed for that game table. Here is a direct link for parts: Sportcraft Multi-Game Table Model 1-1-36-933 Repair Parts.

I hope that this information helps. If you need further assistance, reply with additional details.
