Question and Answers

Q:

need installation instructiions for both models 72179203010 and 79048783901 including how to attach

A:

Here is a link for the installation guide for the oven: Installation Instructions . The first image below shows additional information that is normally needed for the proper installation of that oven. That image shows the KW rating, breaker and copper wire size needed for that oven. The microwave needs a separate outlet and it draws 14 amps according to the owner's manual provided above. I provided the information on the 27" Stainless Steel trim kit that is used to mount that microwave above the oven. You will need at least 3" of cabinet space above the oven as shown in that second image. You can view a PDF version of those pages on the Sears.com website. Here is a link for that item: Kenmore Stainless Steel 27 in. Trim Kit - Stainless Steel . You can order that trim kit from that link that I provided if you have not already purchased that trim kit.

This should be the information that you need to install those items. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

Q:

Changing fuse on kenmore elite microwave 72179203010.my microwave does not turn on.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VDC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as replacing fuses, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service.

It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend that you carry the unit into a Sears Store or Sears Repair Center for service by a qualified repair technician.

You can visit this website for information on the nearest drop-off locations in your area: Sears Home Services.

We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.
