Question and Answers

Q:

Why did my new Kenmore microwave stop heating?

A:

Your symptoms point to an internal component failure. A service technician is required for any internal microwave component repair. Internal capacitors in the cavity of the microwave can retain an electrical charge even when the unit is unplugged. A microwave radiation leakage test is required following any internal component repair. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your microwave. If the unit is less than 1 year old, the repair should be covered by the warranty. The magnetron on this model has a 4 year warranty.
