microwave,kenmore,model 72166312500,does not work properly.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having problems with your microwave. If the turntable is turning with the door open, I suspect a failed door switch or stuck relay on the control. Because of the extremely high voltage a microwave generates and can store even when unplugged, we do not give repair information on them. We strongly recommend having a service technician replace the control of the microwave. I hope you understand we do not want a customer getting serious injured or worse. We will gladly give repair advice on all other appliances. You can have the microwave repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Q:

How do I change the lamp in my microwave oven?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The microwave is not designed for the consumer to access and replace.

You model microwave does not have an access panel in order to remove and replace the oven cavity light bulb. You will need to call a service technician or take the counter top microwave in to have the bulb replaced. NOTE: Do not attempt to remove the oven wrapper off. Microwaves can store huge amounts of voltage even when unplugged which could cause severe bodily damage or could even be fatal.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
