Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore electric range model 66595142300 not heating

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptoms and details the electronic oven control/clock assembly has most likely failed. The electronic oven control has a bake, broil and a double line break relay. In order for the bake or broil element to heat, the bake or broil relay must close and the double line break relay must also close in order to complete the line one (L1) and the line two (L2) voltages path to the oven elements. I would assume the double line break (DBL) relay has failed meaning the electronic oven control will need to be replaced.

The electronic oven contorl #8524212 for model 665.95142300 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

I added an image below of the wiring circuit and an image containing the instructions for accessing and replacing the electronic oven control. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

My kenmore range (model 66595142300) isn't heating. I don't know what part to purchase to repair it.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand not being able to use your range, it is very inconvenient not being able to cook.

If I understand you correctly, your complete range is not working.

If this is the case please check the circuit breaker in the electrical supply box for the house, being tripped. If so reset the dual circuit breaker.

If the circuit breaker is not tripped you may have to pull the range out to check the plug in connection behind the range and or the power cord connection on the range.

If you could provide a little more detail as to if the cook top is not working or the oven or the whole range, I will be glad to help you further.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
