The first image below shows a technical explanation and the troubleshooting for that E1 F5 error code. That failure is normally caused by a bad oven door lock motor assembly. You can use the troubleshooting shown in that first image to determine the cause of your failure. Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components. A bad wire connection or a failed control board could be causing this failure. I recommend that you conduct that troubleshooting shown in the first image before you order parts. The second image shows the information on the door lock assembly. You can access components by removing the back panels of the range (with the range still unplugged ). If that door lock motor assembly needs to be replaced, you can order it from this page: Door Latch Assembly for Kenmore Range 665.92002100 . That page shows an actual picture of the part.

What does the error F2-E0 indicate on my range?


The error code F2-E0 is indicating a shorted key pad or a key was held down too long.

Disconnect power to the range before attempting the following diagnostic steps.

The method of diagnosing of which component has failed is to:

  • Disconnect power to the range.
  • Disconnect the ribbon connector from the key panel at the oven control board.
  • Reapply power and wait to see if the F2-E0 recurs.

If it does not recur replace the key panel. If the code recurs with the keypad disconnected, replace the oven control board.

I recommend calling any service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

How do I get my oven door unlocked?


I don't find information on a Kenmore oven or range with model number 665.2002. I suspect that you probably have Kenmore range model 665.92002 (maybe the 9 was left out). This would make sense given your symptoms. I will give you information and troubleshooting based on this model. If you have a completely different model, resubmit your question with that model number. Note: your complete model number may have additional numbers after the 665.92002 (665.92002100). This would not matter for troubleshooting purposes.

The F5 E1 (the digit 5 looks the same as an "S") indicates that the door latch is not operating. You will probably not be able to clear this fault and unlock the door without contacting a service technician to repair the range. You can try this:

  • Disconnect electrical power completely from the range. Unplug it or turn off the electrical breaker.
  • Leave the range unplugged for 5 minutes.
  • Reconnect electrical power.
  • Press CANCEL.
  • If the fault code F5 E1 does not reappear, try to program and start a CLEAN mode. Observe the range for 1 minute to see if the door latch engages fully. If it does and the CLEAN mode begins, press CANCEL after 3 minutes of CLEAN mode operation.
  • If the oven door latch is operating properly, the oven door should unlock and the fault code F5 E1 will not reappear.
  • If there is still a malfunction in the oven door lock, the wiring or the oven electronic control, then the fault will reappear.

If the F5 E1 fault code will not clear or reappears, you will probably need a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

If your oven controls are locked, pressing and holding the OVEN button for 5 seconds would unlock the controls. According to your symptoms, this is not the problem.
