Question and Answers

Kenmore range problem

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to repair the range igniter yourself.

Gas appliances are inherently dangerous and I would suggest that you have a certified gas technician repair your range.

  • You will need to remove the screws the secure all the burner heads and gas supply tubes to the cook top.

  • First remove the screws that secure the burner heads and then remove screws that secure the burner base to the cook top.

  • Open the oven door and locate and remove the screws that hold the cook top to the range frame.

  • You will then be able to lift the cook top and get to the one screw that holds the igniter to the burner base.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
