Kenmore gas stove won't light after cleaning cycle run 665-72014104

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when the range won't heat up after the self cleaning was done.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your model number 665.72014104.

Sounds like your ignitor is going bad.   Just one of those things that happens at odd times.  Here is a way to check the ignitor.  If you find you need one then please click the link below for the exact bake ignitor tht you need.

How to check if ignitor is good:

1.  Lower the door all the way down.   May have to remove the hinges so be careful.  The ignitor will be on the back bottom side of the oven.  Usually a cylindar/oblong piece and has a metal covering.  2 wires on the back side with ceramic wire nuts.

2.   Turn the gas on and wait for the ignitor to start glowing.  If it takes more than 2 minutes to do then needs to be replaced.

3.  If it is coming on then look and see if it is a dull orange/reddish flame.  The probablility is that  there is no longer enough current flowing through.  Then ignitor needs to be replaced.

Instructions on cleaning ignitor:

1.  Please remove the racks from inside the oven.

2.  Locate the ignitor on the back bottom side.

3.  Unscrew the screws that holds the ignitor to the oven and pull out the wire clip.  The ignitor is fully disengaged and now can be removed from inside the oven.

4.  Soak the ignitor in a plastic container filled with solvent.  Soak it for around 20 minutes.

5.  Take out the ignitor from the solvent and try to dry with a paper towel carefully.

4.  Spray your ignitor with a can of compressed air so it will remove any left over particles.  Then just reinstall the ignitor by the way that you removed it.

Why is the light that displays the temperature on my stove so dim that I can't read the numbers?

This display is part of the electronic oven control board. To fix this type of problem, you would need to replace the electronic oven control board. The part number for this control board is 9756134R. You can order this part from the Sears PartsDirect website.

If you plan to install this part yourself, be sure that you unplug the range to disconnect electrical power and shut off the gas supply before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
