Question and Answers

Q:

What is overall size of dishwasher 66515899100 to find replacement of machine

A:

This is considered a 24" tall tub dishwasher. It is actually 23 7/8" wide. The height is 33 7/8" with the wheels removed. Wheels and leveling legs can raise the height up to 1/2". The overall depth is 25 1/4". Most current models of 24" dishwashers will fit in the counter opening required for this dishwasher. Here is a link for the installation guide that provides cut-out requirements and other details for installation: Installation Instructions . You can use this information to verify that the replacement dishwasher that you select will properly fit in the opening that was used for this model. You should not have a difficult time finding a model that will fit in the cabinet to replace this model. The dishwasher sizes are fairly standard.

Q:

Dishwasher will go through all cycles but no water goes in. All feed lines are open. Model 66515899100

A:

Hello James. I see that you asked this question on the Sears PartsDirect website. The link is not visible on that website at this time. I apologize for that inconvenience. You can copy and paste this link into your browser to view the answer and the link on the Manage My Life website: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/337026-dishwasher-cycles-water-goes-feed-lines-open-model-66515899100

Check the float switch in the bottom of the tub. If that switch is stuck in the "up" position, then the dishwasher will not fill with water.

If that float switch is okay, then you can use the installation guide to access and check the water supply for the dishwasher. Here is a link for that manual: Installation Instructions for Kenmore Dishwasher Model 665.15899100.

Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker and the water supply before accessing internal components. If you can pull that water supply line off of the inlet water valve, you can briefly turn on the water supply shut-off valve and see if you get proper water pressure and flow from that water supply line. Use a shallow container to catch the water during that test.

If the water supply is okay, you can check the inlet screen on that water inlet valve for debris or corrosion that could be inhibiting the water flow. You may need to replace that water valve to fix this problem. You can view and order parts for the dishwasher through this page: Kenmore Dishwasher Model 665.15899100 Repair Parts.

I hope that this information helps. If you need further assistance, reply with additional details.

Q:

replace heater element in kenmore dishwasher

A:

Dezeray S. provided some links in the above response that may have already helped you with this repair. The first link shows a video of the element replacement procedure that I also provided below.

Although the original heating element has been replaced by a substituted part, it should still fit in the your dishwasher the same way that the original heating element was installed. Here is a link for a video that describes the repair: Dishwasher Heating Element Replacement .

I hope that this information helps. If you still have trouble installing that heating element in the dishwasher, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
