Question and Answers

Q:

dishwaher leaks

A:

Make sure that you are loading the dishes so that they do not deflect water back toward the door as shown in the image below.

Check the spray arms for cracks or splits. Make sure that the dishes are not blocking the spray arms from rotating. Problems like these could cause a wave action inside the dishwasher tub which could cause water to slosh over the front lip so that it leaks out the front door.

Make sure that the dishwasher is properly leveled front to back and left to right. Here is a link for the installation guide for your dishwasher: Installation Instructions . This manual will illustrate how to properly level the dishwasher. Be sure that you shut off the breaker and the water supply to the dishwasher if you need to pull it out from under the counter.

Check the door seal for damage or debris that could be allowing water to get through. Clean or replace the seal if necessary.

Make sure that you are not blocking the water inlet with a pan or other item which could cause water to leak from the front left side of the dishwasher where the water line connects to it.

These tips may help you determine the cause of your leaking problem and resolve it. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

Q:

Installing new Kenmore diswashing machine- is water hookup in same place

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The water inlet valve connection will be located on the same side but since the new dishwasher valve is threaded like a water hose fitting you will need a kit. You can order the adapter kit at Sears.com.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details it sounds like the console assembly with the active overlay is faulty. I added an image below of the key pad test. I assume you know how to check continuity based on your details. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the dishwasher before servicing your dishwasher.
