Question and Answers

Q:

I would like a answer today - if I need service, than I need it before Saturday please. My Kenmore Elite Dishwasher will not run

A:

If that clean light is blinking seven times and pausing, then repeating then this indicates that the control detects a problem with the heating circuit. That link for a previous answer that Julio posted in the above response describes a similar failure.

I recommend that you check the heating element in the bottom of the dishwasher tub. If it is broken then it will need to be replaced.

If that heating element appears to be okay, then you can reset the control by pressing the following keys in a fairly quick order: HEATED DRY, NORMAL WASH, HEATED DRY, NORMAL WASH. This will cause the control to go into a quick test mode. It will check all components and finish within about 10 minutes. You can cancel that cycle instead of letting it run. Once the control is reset, you can try to use the dishwasher normally. If that blinking clean light code resumes, then I recommend that you have the dishwasher serviced.

If you found a problem with that heating element in the dishwasher, then you may be able to replace that component yourself. You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Elite Dishwasher Model 665.13752K601 Parts . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing internal components and replacing parts. You will need to pull the dishwasher out of the counter to access that heating element.
