Question and Answers

Q:

dishwasher not heating water nor drying dishes?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having problems with the dishwasher. Usually when this model does not dry well it is because the rinse aid is turned down or the extra dry needs to be selected. I have added an image below that shows how to turn the extra heat on. Please follow the instructions to make sure it is turned on. Then check the rinse aid setting turn it up and run the dishwasher a few cycle to see if that improved the drying. Please keep in mind that plastic does not retain the heat from the water so chances are plastic will not dry. The last thing you can do is open the door after a cycle to allow the moisture to escape faster.

Usually if the heater is not working, the washer will not complete the wash cycle at all. The second image has the instructions for diagnosing the heater circuit and how to enter the diagnostic mode. To make the proper check you will need a volt-ohmmeter and an amp clamp is helpful. Once in the diagnostic test place the amp clamp around the black near the junction box. When the dishwasher gets to S:04 the heater should turn on and the amp draw should be at or above 9 amps. If it is, the heater is working.

Please reply below with the details of what you have found and I will be happy to assist you further.
