Question and Answers

Q:

What is the BTU rating for a Sears model 629.46775 range?

A:

There should be a KW rating plate on the range around the opening to the oven cavity. Since this is an electric range, it will be rated in Kilowatts instead of BTU's. According to the elements that are in the range, the maximum amount of power used with all 4 burners on and the oven being used will likely be about 10.5 KW.

I don't have specific rating information available online for this range. The best source for the KW rating is the rating sticker that is described above.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

Q:

How do I lift the ceramic top on my Kenmore range model 629.46775?

A:

The images below show how to remove the top on a similar model. The top image may not apply to your range. You may need to shut off the breaker and access the area behind the control panel to find screws that secure the cook top to the frame. The bottom image below shows how to access the area behind the control panel. This information on a similar range is all that I have available. I hope that this information helps. You can also view the parts list diagram on the Sears PartsDirect website. That information may also help you remove the top.

Q:

How do I lift the ceramic cook top on my Kenmore range model 629.46775?

A:

The images below show how to lift the top on a similar model of Kenmore range. This information may work for your range but I cannot be sure. Your range may be slightly different than the one shown below. You may need to remove the console in a manner similar to the bottom image to access screws that secure the glass cook top to the frame. Be sure that you shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal range components.

You can view a parts list diagram for the range on the Sears PartsDirect website. The parts list diagram may help you lift the top.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
