Q:

color code lines & canister(tank)

A:

Hello Jerry. Here is the link for the owner's manual that Anna T. meant to provide you with: Kenmore RO System Model 625.384720 Owner's Manual.

The water line connections are shown on page 8 of that manual. I also provided an image below that shows those connections.  The tank should keep its charge of air when replacing the filters. There is a chance that you have a problem with that tank if the bladder is broken and it is not providing any pressure in the system. You can view and order parts on this page: Kenmore RO System Model 625.384720 Repair Parts.

There is additional troubleshooting advice on page 15 of that owner's manual. You can also call the Kenmore Water Line at 1-800-426-9345 for additional help if necessary.

I hope that this information helps. If you need further assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine your RO system and repair it, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

How to keep reverse osmosis clean!

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know how many filters I need to replace.

If the unit is flashing red you will need to change all the filters. The pre and post filter as well as the RO membrane.

If you have not change the pre and post filter before you will need to change them all.

I would just clean the flow control and filter with the o-rings. You can use a food grade silicone the type they use in cooking equipment and you can usually get it at your local large home centers or at a restaurant supply house.

If you feel you need to change them it would not hurt.

Food grade silicone grease .

These parts are in the plastic line within the system. If you have your owner's manual the will speak to these parts and how to remove the connections.

Most of them are push in collar and pull disconnect.

I have given you a copy of the pages about the filter and the flow control in your manual.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
