Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore 115v dryer heating temperature

A:

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

This 120 volt dryer will not reach the temperatures you are looking for. The temperatures you are getting with the heating element in this dryer are about the upper end of the limit. The operating thermostat is a 122 Fahrenheit thermostat and that is +/- 10 percent.

If you would like to have a Sears technician look at this in your home , Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.

Hi Thomas, The heating element in this dryer is powered by 120 volts. It is incapable of reaching the temperatures a heating element powered by 240 volts can. That is the reason most dryers are 240 volts. Landell

Q:

craftsman welder 113.20302 changing wiring from 230v to 115v.

A:

Thank you for your question on the old welder to change to 115 volt operation.

I am sorry but I do not believe that you can do that to the welder because the transformer is 230 volts only.

Thank you.

Sam A.
