Question and Answers

Q:

Have a 61 inch Hitachi HD about 10 yrs.old. Duplicates in red and green when I turn on,sometimes will stop ,other times have to turn off TV. Thoughts?

A:

You are describing a problem with the convergence. It seems it has not gone out completely so you dont have a blown fuse but you can have a cold solder point or an IC that is starting to go bad. I recommend getting service done on it, possibly replacing the amps. I know the TV is old technology but you won't find a 61" TV for the price of a repair yet.

Q:

replacement part - woodruff key 61

A:

Thank you for your question. Woodruff keys are standard keys. If we show the woodruff key no longer available, you should be able to purchase a replacement at any local quality hardware store. I have checked on the size of the key you need and I come up with a number 61. Here is a link to purchase the woodruff key from a website. Please submit more information if you need further assistance.

Q:

What does the 6-1 flashing clean light mean on a Kenmore Elite dishwasher?

A:

The 6-1 Error Code is indicating a lack of communication between the control board and the motor. It could have a loose or intermittent wire connection at the motor or control board.

A technician would disconnect the power to the dishwasher and then remove the connections at the motor and control board and inspect the connections and pins. He would reconnect the connections and reset the control board and check operation.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher.
