Question and Answers

Q:

I have Craftsman garage door opener 139.53647SRT1 and 2 Craftsman remotes that don't work. During programming the opener lights don't flash (2 new 60W ea.)

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand your concern when the garage door opener will not program.

  • Pushing a remote button and looking at the l.e.d. light on the back of the motor unit next to the green learn button, it should be flashing to indicate that the transmitter is working.

If the light is not flashing try the other remote to see if it will flash.

If neather remote will flash the little l.e.d. light then I would agree that you have a bad logic board and I also would opt for a new opener.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Can you help me with the wire connections on my garage door opener?

A:

The 2 wires for the wall switch are correctly on 1 and 2. The wires from the door sensors, or photo cells, should be split. Connect 1 wire from each sensor to the 2 terminal and one wire from each sensor to the 3 terminal.
