Question and Answers
Why would water squirt out from the hose connected to my ice maker on the back of the freezer? It is the connection from the hose and rubber piece behind maker.
There is an ice blockage in the ice maker fill tube between the back of the freezer and the ice maker. Since there is a blockage in the ice maker fill tube water can leak out when ever the ice maker inlet valve opens because the water can not pass into the ice maker. The ice maker inlet water valve requires water pressure to shut the valve off and voltage to open it. When the water to the refrigerator/ice maker was shut off it caused water to slowly trickle into the ice maker which eventually caused an ice blockage. You should be able to pull disconnect the plastic tubing connected to the fill tube and then slide the fill tube out and let it thaw and then re-install the fill tube and water line. You can also remove the ice maker to see the end of the fill tube if needed.
